India will not extend anti-dumping measures against dichloromethane from China

  On February 5, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement that the Tax Bureau of the Ministry of Finance of India did not accept the proposal of the Ministry of Industry on January 20, 2021 to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on dichloromethane originating in or imported from China, and decided not to extend the anti-dumping measures on the products involved in China。

  On April 7, 2015, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an anti-dumping investigation against dichloromethane originating in or imported from China and Russia。On May 31, 2016, the Central Board of Excise and Customs of India (now the Central Board of Indirect Duties and Customs of India) issued a notice, deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above countries for a period of 5 years。On August 31, 2020, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice that it launched the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on dichloromethane originating in or imported from China。On December 1, 2020, India extended the validity of anti-dumping duties on the Chinese products involved until January 31, 2021。On January 20, 2021, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made a positive final ruling on the case, suggesting that the Chinese products involved should continue to be levied for a period of five years.$20 / metric ton ~ 89.Anti-dumping duty of US $94 / mt。
